On Wednesday, 9 December, celebrated a Mass for the repose of the soul of Fr. José María Hernández Garnica, who died in Barcelona on 7 December 1972.
A Mass attended by over one hundred people, most of them had been influenced by his treatment and pastoral care.
In his homily, the rector of Montalegre recalled the pleasant duty of justice which is offering up prayers for those who have enriched us with his life. And he encouraged those present to spread devotion to this private servant of God, in the certainty that much good will for the whole Church. In this regard, he recalled the interest of a written record of the reputation of holiness and deemed received favors through her intercession.
On 17 March, Bishop César Augusto Franco, auxiliary bishop of Madrid, presided at the Basilica of San Miguel, Madrid, the closing of the diocesan process on the life, virtues and reputation of sanctity of the Servant of God.
